Located on Cherryville Rd 1/4 mile north of Cherryville, NJ.
This site was a main station and junction between the North-South L cable and the East-West L cable and served New York City. The next station to the north is uncertain, either Netcong or Airmont, NY., to the south is Cedar Brook, NJ, and to the west, Finland, PA. A side leg went from Cherryville into New York City. There is a 4ESS switch at this location and it is manned 24 hours a day. Most of the L cable routes now hold fiber cables. Confirmed microwave shots from Cherryville go to Harrow, PA (and on to Finland) and Lanark, PA. Suspected paths go to Trenton, NJ, and either a tower on Jenny Jones Mountain near I-80 in Northern New Jersey, or to Delaware Water Gap, PA. Two paths head east toward NYC.
